After suffering several setbacks, If Tomorrow Comes… has finally been released.

“First, let’s acknowledge the haters first that said that, ‘Tomorrow’s never gonna come.’ I seen all that. I watched all that,” Maino told SOHH. “Why did I choose that title? For one, tomorrow is not promised to nobody but if it does come I want my tomorrow to be greater than my today.” (SOHH)

The Brooklyn-based emcee is preparing to release the video for the album’s fourth single, “Million Bucks.”

“It was crazy. When Swizz first played it for me I said, ‘Come on Swizz, I don’t got a million dollars man.’ He said, ‘Nah, but I got a million dollars.’ And we laughed. I found a way to be me without trying to look like I was more rich than what I was portraying. I didn’t want to come off like I’m more richer than what I really am. It’s a song about trying to spread love in the hood and giving back so I made it more or less like that.” (SOHH)

Last month, Maino’s third single, “All Of The Above” which features T-Pain was certified gold.

“All The Above (Feat. T-Pain),” the breakthrough single from Hustle Hard Entertainment/Atlantic recording artist Maino, has been certified gold by the RIAA for digital sales in excess of 500,000. Produced by Just Blaze and Nard & B “All The Above” is at Top 40 smash at Urban outlets nationwide, having impacted as the #1 most added single at the format earlier this year.(Reuters)

Maino attributes the songs success to its relatability.

“It’s a great record at the end of the day. That’s what it comes down to. Good records, good songs that people can relate to or dance to, whatever. Going from nothing to something and the fact that I was just honest on the record. I wasn’t trying to be anything that I wanted. That’s just who I am.” (SOHH)
