Brooklyn rapper Maino has come forward to speak out on making headlines a few weeks ago for being arrested on a sexual assault accusation.
Despite the serious allegations, Maino explained why he is not sweating over the negative press.
“Nothing, that’s why it ain’t even worth talking,” Maino said when asked about his publicized October arrest. “I don’t lose sleep over things that’s not true, you understand? We don’t talk about stuff that doesn’t deserve light. … Any time I’ve been accused of something, listen, on my life, I’ve always been 30 percent guilty. At least. If somebody said I’ve done something, I have done something. Never in my life until this time here have I been absolutely, 100 percent innocent. But that things about to get thrown out, it’s already halfway out the door.” (“The Breakfast Club”)

Maino also discussed why he still found himself in handcuffs despite knowing he’s innocent.
“The sad part about it is that particular situation, if a woman says that, you have to go through the process,” Maino added. “So it doesn’t matter. You could be walking down the street and a woman says, ‘[You] did this, this and that,’ they’ll come and arrest you and you have to go through the process. The truth will come out in the end. But you know what? People don’t hear the truth. In the paper it had already said she gave false stories.” (“The Breakfast Club”)
The New York rapper jumped onto his Instagram page last month and appeared to address the drama.

A representative for porn actress Mellanie Monroe stepped forward to speak out a few weeks ago.
Porn star Mellanie Monroe is terrified of ex-con rapper Maino and his associates after he was arrested Thursday on charges he attacked her outside a Meatpacking District nightclub earlier in the week. “She’s really afraid,” Walter Newsome, a member of Monroe’s legal team, told Page Six. “No one should ever have to endure such a barbaric attack.” (Page Six)

The hip-hop star, whose real name is Jermaine Coleman, was in the car with porn actress Mellanie Monroe when she claims he started punching her and fled, according to law enforcement sources. The Bed-Stuy native, who had a hit single, “All the Above,” with T-Pain, was partying at the posh Griffin nightclub in downtown Manhattan on Monday with stars such as Ashanti and New York Knick J.R.
