Ma$e’s Bad Boy Ways Don’t Help, Betha Falls Short In Model War

Former Bad Boy Records rapper Mason "Ma$e" Betha has reportedly lost a legal war against model Stephanie Delgado for using her image without permission on a song's artwork.

According to reports, Ma$e will have to pay nearly $8,000 for using Delgado’s image for his “Why Can’t We” single.

Delgado wanted $60,000 in damages … presumably because she felt the pic was effective in hawking the single. Mase never responded to her lawsuit so the judge entered a default judgment. But the judge wanted her to prove how much the pic was worth. She said she had once made $25,000 for a commercial shoot to promote an artist’s music. The judge asked for proof but she said it was all done in cash and only knew she made the deal with a guy named Woo. The judge decided a fair price for the pic was $7,500. (TMZ)

Mason Betha recently talked about hosting a Harlem-themed battle at Bad Boy Records CEO Diddy’s renowned Daddy’s House studio.

“It was just Harlem everywhere, man. I’m excited. This is something I personally wanted to do. I’m just excited to be able to give something back to my town. With me, I always try to give my all to my hood, put my hood on my skin, man. I love it. They ain’t gotta keep asking me who I am. All of it is me.” (Revolt TV)

Recently, Ma$e discussed when his next solo album would drop.

“My next single will probably be me, Rick Ross and Kanye. It’s called ‘Billboard.’ So, we got something really serious coming,” Ma$e said in an interview. “We just got done shooting a video in LA, in the desert, so, it’s gonna be really sexy. The next one [after ‘Billboard’]. … We got an album in the works, it should be out the first week in October. It’s gonna have Ye, Ross, Puff, Dipset, it’s gonna be really special. … This is what I would have put out after [1997’s] Harlem World. It’s gonna be really special.” (Hot 107.9)

Last summer, reality television star Malaysia Pargo starred in Ma$e’s “Nothing” music video.

Pargo speeds down the highway in a luxury convertible while Mase brings back his infamous Harlem boy moves with Bellinger. In another scene Pargo dons an embellished body suit, heels and an oversized jacket paired with sunglasses. She makes another wardrobe change as she steps out of a boutique. The video continues its light and fun theme as Mase parties with a group of girls in a pool. Bellinger sings, “It’s unbelievable how your body is calling for me…Probably ’cause you got your own money.” (Enstarz)
