3. Los Angeles Hosted It Once

In 2014, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti hosted a press conference with Hov to announce that the city would have it’s own festival in addition to the one in Philly. The profits from it were used to benefit multiple United Way branches, all with the sole purpose of helping those in poverty. The Los Angeles festival was only a one-time thing though, and in 2015 it went back to only being held in Philadelphia due to not enough ticket sales the year prior.
