[With summer tours and concerts on fleek right now, Lyricist Lounge founders Danny Castro and Anthony Marshall talk to SOHH about working with New York’s SummerStage for Big Apple performances ranging from Scarface to The LOX.]
We’ve been working with SummerStage for the past four or five years. We had a relationship with Erika Elliott, she used to work at Loud and then she went to [New York nightclub venue] S.O.B.’s and we met her while she was over there and developed our relationship.
She opened the door to help curate SummerStage and the relationship has been going well. We’ve been doing a lot of great shows with SummerStage and helping to promote the festival.
It’s been going well. That’s pretty much how it came about, through our relationship with Erika Elliott. –Danny Castro
It’s a great partnership. My partner Castro has really been spearheading that for some time and developing it into what it is today. What we’re looking to do is the same thing in other cities.
We’re closing a deal with grand performances in LA, we’re looking at Atlanta and the Bay Area as well. So we’re definitely looking forward to continuing the Summer series. –Anthony Marshall
