Grammy-winning rapper Lupe Fiasco and Kid Cudi have publicly gone after each other's necks over fans digging in their pockets to pay for customized verses.
Cudi struck first by publicly calling out Lupe’s verse-writing offer to fans.
“To my fans; I dont know about this Lupe $500 verse shit. U should support his album but this idea seems a bit sketch. Do what U want tho.,” Cudi tweeted August 21.

Fiasco wasted no time and stepped forward to address Cudi’s dicey comments.
“Luv ya @KidCudi how much did your Guiseppe Zanottis cost to make at the factory but they retailing at what again?,” Lupe tweeted August 21.
“The “Cudder” Special…To my fans if any one of you buys a pair of @KidCudi Zanottis the personalized verse is FREE OF CHARGE!”
“A custom verse is not to “Swindle” you as my competitors would have you believe. It’s to give you total control over what you want to hear.”

A day prior, Lupe broke the news of his verse-writing fan offer.
“I will personalize a 1 verse song for you. $500. You pick the instrumental, mood & subject. 1 physical copy which you must come pick up. COD,” Lupe tweeted August 22.
“NOT a collaboration boys…those are 50k ;)…just a personal song tailor made for you…usage will be strictly monitored via contract.”
