Instead of holding back, Luda fully explained why this LP would be his most personal release to date.

“I strategically kept my personal life out of my music for the sole reason of having longevity in the music industry because when you give it all you don’t really have too much to talk about and you got to start making up stuff or you have to go out and create drama to talk about in you music. I’m one of those individuals that’s fortunate to have a funny side because comedy, you can draw from real life situations but it doesn’t have to be real. I might have started doing that the first five or six albums and giving little bits and pieces of my real life.” (Revolt TV)

Luda also promised he would set the record straight for fans dying to learn the truth about his personal life.

“So Ludaversal is a play off of words, universal so this album is definitely letting people in on my personal life. And my personal life has never been exposed more than it has in the past two years. Now don’t believe everything you’ve been hearing from the people that’s been trying to tell you what the news is. You need to believe what is on this Ludaversal album because it’s coming straight from the horse’s mouth.” (Revolt TV)

Last year, ‘Cris said scheduling and his involvement in the popular Fast & Furious series kept the LP shelved.

“We’re thinking around November. We’re putting a single out this month and we’re hoping for November. We’re getting all our ducks in a row. Again, it’s right now as I do another movie, the whole thing with Fast & Furious and how we had to stop production and start again. There was a whole plan to drop the album when I had time and then the whole movie got pushed back seven months. So I want to make sure there is a clear lane for me to just focus on music and go out and promote, as opposed to just dropping an album and not being able to back it up.” (Billboard)

Although he could not dish out too many details, the Disturbin’ Tha Peace leader said his LP would mesh throwback elements with his personal and global experiences in 2013.

Fast & Furious 6 [movie] is coming out this year and we’re completely concentrating on the music right now, so, you know, it’s all about Ludaversal album,” Luda said in an interview. “Ludaversal, the whole premise is welcome to my world. This is album number eight, so you know, it’s about progression, it’s about growth and you’re just gonna get some real personal records on here. We’re taking it back to the pure elements of what I do. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel all over the world over the past two years so it’s that but it’s also taking it back to the roots” (FUSE)
