Days after Ludacris reportedly asked a judge to have child support payments decreased, new reports claim the rapper-turned-actor now wants full custody of his newborn daughter.
According to reports, Luda is putting up a strong fight against his surprise baby mother.
Rapper Ludacris wants to do something so shocking, it will send shock waves through the rap community — he’s fighting for CUSTODY of his kid. Luda and baby mama Tamika Fuller are duking it out in an Atlanta court over custody and child support. They had a baby girl 2 months ago and Tamika’s been taking care of the kid. The rapper now says in legal docs he’s a “fit and capable parent” and should get full physical custody. He offers up his parental resume, saying he’s always been “an active father” to his 12-year-old girl. (TMZ)
To make matters more complicated, the rap star wants his daughter’s mother to cough up child support.
Now the plot thickens. Luda has also asked the judge to force Tamika to pay HIM child support. That’s interesting, because Tamika was asking for $15K a month in child support and Ludacris pleaded poverty, saying Paul Walker’s death derailed “Fast & Furious 7” and his cash flow dried up. The judge awarded her $7K a month. So the question … does Luda really want custody, or is this a way to turn the financial tables? (TMZ)
Despite the buzzing gossip and rumors, Luda’s surprise baby mother recently said she never tried to extort Luda in exchange for staying mum about their daughter.
“It saddens me that it has come to this. I did not file on him. Nor would I ever try to attempt to extort my child’s fathers. Ive never asked him to buy me a car. I had engine trouble. I asked to borrow one of his during my pregnancy so that I could continue 2 get 2 work. I have never been a stripper. I did waitress there in my past. I have since moved on from that. Tamika also asked media and fans alike to refrain from pumping negativity into the private matter.
“She has yet to meet her father and it’s unfortunate because I would never keep him from seeing her. Let’s not lose focus that an innocent child is involved and her best interests come before any of all of this foolishness. In spite of all that has already happened I just ask that the negativity stop towards him and I. We have a child to co parent. Be blessed.” (Necole Bitchie)
Buzz behind the rap star fathering a child in December heated up the Internet earlier this month.
Much like the NBA star, Ludacris — real name, Chris Bridges — went on a break with his longtime love early in 2013, which is when he hooked up with the baby’s mother, Tamika Fuller. Tamika is said to be a friend from his high school days in Georgia. The child, a girl named Cai Bella Bridges, was born on December 9. Cai is Luda’s second daughter, joining big sis, 11-year-old Karma. Even though the two girls have different mothers, hopefully they can still get to know each other! (Wet Paint)
