Grammy-winning rapper Ludacris continues to remain in the headlines this week as reports now claim his 2010 “Be With You” is not an original composition and the makings of another record.
Details of the unexpected legal situation surfaced online this week.
A soul singer named Tyrone Davis recorded a 1979 song called, “Be With Me.” The music producer and publisher claim Luda flagrantly ripped them off with his 2010 tune. Truth be told … Luda’s not the main singer on “Be With You.” The song features David Banner and Marsha Ambrosius. Nonetheless, all 3 are being sued, plus many, many more. (TMZ)
The news comes days after reports revealed Luda fathered a child last month.
Much like the NBA star, Ludacris — real name, Chris Bridges — went on a break with his longtime love early in 2013, which is when he hooked up with the baby’s mother, Tamika Fuller. Tamika is said to be a friend from his high school days in Georgia. The child, a girl named Cai Bella Bridges, was born on December 9. Cai is Luda’s second daughter, joining big sis, 11-year-old Karma. Even though the two girls have different mothers, hopefully they can still get to know each other! (Wet Paint)
Last year, Ludacris landed on the Forbes Cash Kings list.

The Atlanta rapper recently made headlines for putting up money to help non-profit organizations provide food and shelter to those impacted by last year’s Typhoon Haiyan.
Ludacris has done something, well, ludicrously generous. The rapper and actor has dipped into his bank account and pulled out $50,000 to aid victims of the Philippines typhoon. “Typhoon Haiyan has hurt so many people,” he said in a statement announcing his donation to The mGive Foundation, which is distributing money to five nonprofits, including the United Nation’s World Food Programme. Ludacris is asking the rest of us to do something a little easier on the wallet. (USA Today)
