According to Luda, there is no truth behind the ghost writing claims.

“My Lil homie @justinbieber loves hip hop & at no point was I supposed to write his cypher flow. #getyafactsright,” he tweeted October 19th. (Ludacris’ Twitter)

Premier also said he talked to Luda and found out the ghost writing situation was fake.

“Spoke 2 @Ludacris & he witnessed Justin Beiber write his rhymes & that he can flow…he said he wasn’t s’posed to write 4 tha Cypher..,” he tweeted Wednesday.

“Now as I said 2days ago, I can’t ban nobody, I just stress my honest opinion on aLL my sh*t & the blog headings make it sound worse…”

“So shout to @Ludacris for givin’ me the correct info and I will continue to come wit dat raw sh*t ! “B.A.P.”(BumpyandPreem) comin today!” (DJ Premier’s Twitter)

A few days ago, Premier broke the news of Bieber almost getting a shot at doing the cypher.

“Justin Bieber even asked if he could do the cypher. Everybody was worried that it might mess up the integrity of BET but I was like, ‘Long as he got a dope rhyme, let him spit.’ But, then we heard, ‘He wants Luda to write his rhyme.’ I was like, ‘Oh, no, no, no, no, no.’ If you ain’t writing your own rhyme, you can’t do it. So, Justin, you gotta take a backseat on that one. Write your own rhymes, honey. You gotta call him honey on that one.” (YouTube)

Controlling the cyphers’ beat, Premier stood behind the deejay turntable for multiple acts.

In the first cypher of the night, Atlanta MC B.o.B., Kansas City native Tech N9ne, Mississippi spitter Big K.R.I.T., Compton’s own Kendrick Lamar and new kid on the block Cleveland’s Machine Gun Kelly all traded bars while Primo manned the decks. Shady Records wasn’t the only label to represent as a team as Rick Ross and his Maybach Music Group cohorts took turns in blazing the BET Cypher. Opening up was Wale who employed his D.C. area accent to great effect. Atlanta’s Pill jumped into the circle next and showed his down south flair with ease. The heavily bearded Stalley got busy for the midwest but Philadelphia MC Meek Mill may have displayed the strongest set of bars among his MMG brethren as the audience welcomed his lines with cheers.
