“Look What He Did For Juelz, Vado & Dipset. Jim Jones Is Still Eating B/C Of Him”

[Each week, SOHH asks two entertainment personalities to name their Top 5 rappers of all-time. To make things tricky, we've created a "Hall of Fame" of emcees (see right) who are universally respected and therefore may not be mentioned. After DJ Quik whipped out his top picks, Coney Island rapper D. Chamberz unloads his fave five.]

d-chamberz-2013-01-22-50x65.jpgD. Chamberz. The reason I picked myself is because nobody ever came from Coney Island. It’s never been spoken for and everybody knows about Coney Island from The Warriors and we’re living that Warriors mentality. Just within the last couple years, people are recognizing us more and starting to shoot movies out here.

p-50-cent.jpg50 Cent. I got 50 on there because he came from the street, read books, put his knowledge into his business. He still has the aggressive mindset to go and get it but he smartened up, got a business, put people on around him and kept it moving.

master-p-2012-08-05-50x65.jpgMaster P. I have Master P there more so for the business part of it. I’m not taking anything away from the lyrical aspect. Master P came out with “Ugh!” He put on for his entire family. People ate around him. He created a business and everyone around him ate. That’s why I chose him.

p-camron.jpgCam’ron. I was always a fan of Cam. Always. From his early stuff all the way to the looney tooney stuff. He’s been coming back lately. He’s doing movies and doing stuff with his family. He’s another one that’s got his own business. He’s got a little bit of real estate uptown. Look what he did for Juelz, Vado and Dipset. Even Jim Jones is still eating because of him.
