[With the G-Unit reunion in full swing, group member Lloyd Banks and affiliate Kidd Kidd talk to SOHH about street music, the crew’s upcoming new album, Bobby Shmurda and much more.]

Is anyone bringing it right now in terms of street music?

Kidd Kidd: Well yes, I think somebody’s bringing it. I think G-Unit is bringing it. For real, and that’s what I mean, that that lane is missing. That’s what I’m saying, we’re bringing it. You don’t have to look for it no more. We got it over here (laugh).

Can Bobby Shmurda recover when he comes out?

Kidd Kidd: I feel like who’s to say. You look at people’s situations like the Lil Boosie situation. He recovered from his situation, for real. Shout out to Boosie for real. He’s just got to be strong and keep your head up.

Are Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill the hottest couple in hip hop?

Kidd Kidd: I don’t know, that’s that man’s business.

G-Unit album?

Lloyd Banks: We actually have about 20-25 plus more records that sit outside of the EP music, so we’re just going to keep on working. Like I said, we want everything to happen organically. It would be amazing for us to cap the year off with a G-Unit album.
