Barring any setbacks, the “Punchline King” said the EP would come packed with six tracks.

“We actually got another EP on the way this October,” Banks explained in an interview. “This October, they can expect a whole ‘nother six records. The Beast Is G-Unit. The Beauty of Independence was just leading into what we’re doing now. So we on promo now. We’re gonna be hitting as many cities as we can. We want to make sure [a full studio album] is right. This is reminiscent of the mixtape days when we would drop the content immediately.” (“Jenny Boom Boom”)

G-Unit leader 50 Cent broke big news of the group’s project with these remarks…

G-Unit leader 50 Cent announced the upcoming The Beast Is G-Unit compilation coming together a few weeks ago.

“The Beauty is six joints. We recorded, like, thirty-eight,” Fif revealed in an interview with G-Unit. “It’s broken into two pieces. So, The Beauty is the first half. The Beauty of Independence and then The Beast Is G-Unit is the second half.” (“Los Angeles Leakers”)

The unexpected six-track release arrived online last month.

The crew quietly released the new surprise six-track EP The Beauty Of Independence on iTunes. It appears that the newly minted 50 Cent protege Kidd Kidd is now a full-on G-Unit member, but other than that, this is the same core of guys who made Beg For Mercy, and it’s weirdly heartening to see them working together again. Although the Unit had fallen apart in recent years, reunited member Young Buck recently promised his band of brothers were built to win.

“Don’t look for the downfall of G-Unit,” the rapper said. “Cause you’ll be looking for a long God damn time. You understand? But looking for the success of G-Unit you’ll get what you want to see real quick. But looking for the downfall homie you gon’ be stuck…Don’t pray on our downfall or look for it. Look for the success. Look for the good music. Look for the positive energy. And that’s what you gon’ get. Because even if you ain’t looking for it that’s what you gon’ get.” (This Is 50)
