Confirming studio sessions with hitmaker Polow Da Don, Lloyd also said his post-Inc. release would be packed with surprises.

“I’m the King of Hearts, you know,” Lloyd said in an interview. “And at the album release, we gonna be drinking Ace of Spades…Me and Polow Da Don have been working hard. I got a lot of surprises. I think that a lot of people haven’t heard me sound like this, haven’t heard me sing like this. It’s gonna be a new look, it’s gonna be like I’m back for the first time. It should be anticipated. The album is gonna be my best work to date, King of Hearts.” (MTV)

Last month, Lloyd announced the title of his new LP.

Earlier this year, Lloyd hinted at being in the studio working on a new album.

The album will be his  follow-up to 2008’s Lessons in Love.

Debuting at No. 7, R&B sensation Lloyd surprised many selling a cool 51,000 in his first week on the charts. The singer’s third album Lessons In Love featured special guests including hip-hop superstar Ludacris while his Lil’ Wayne assisted hit single “Girls Around the World” continues to hit radio airwaves across the country.
