Music veteran LL Cool J‘s son is reportedly in police custody after being arrested in New York City.

According to reports, police arrested LL’s 26-year-old son Najee Smith on trespassing charges.

Najee Smith was cuffed after an altercation at a restaurant on Ninth Avenue near West 13th Street in the Meatpacking District at about 3:15 a.m., police say. Authorities say that they were called to the scene after Smith, 26, refused to leave and was combative with workers who tried to escort him out. (NBC Bay Area)

The incident went down at one of New York’s most high-profile nightclubs.

Smith and other patrons were attending Catch Rooftop’s Monday night party, which organizers bill as “one of the most exclusive in the city and is host to fashion models, celebrities, nightlife industry insiders and big spending bottle clients,” according to the club’s website. Bottle service at the swanky nightspot range from $400 to more than $600 and tables can cost up to $1,600, the website notes. (NY Daily News)

The 26-year-old Smith is one of LL’s four children.

In addition, Smith appeared to be intoxicated. He was put behind bars and charged with criminal trespassing.
