According to reports, Lohan is not stopping her lawsuit against the Miami rapper.

Lindsay Lohan was unmoved by Pitbull’s explanation of the hilarious diss of her in his song “Give Me Everything.” Or by his invite to the VMAs Sunday night. Sources close to Lohan say she has no interest in going to the VMAs – which Pit invited her to as a show of good faith – and his apology had no impact. The lawsuit is moving forward, and ridiculous. Pit recently apologized for name checking Lohan on his record.

“I didn’t mean to defame, degrade, or hurt (Lohan’s) career.” The Cuban star stressed the double meaning of the lyric and claimed it was meant to bring notoriety to the socialite’s persona. (Billboard)

A couple days ago, he admitted his confusion to Lohan’s lawsuit.

“I was very surprised to me when I found out about the lawsuit,” the soft-spoken rapper, who’s real name is Armando Christian Pérez, told Univision News. “It was very ironic.” Pitbull, 30, said he’s supported Lohan’s career and wasn’t meaning to disparage her name in the context of the song, as “everything about this record is so positive.” Pitbull clarified that when he said she’s “got it locked up,” it means she runs every aspect of her life. He pointed out how, despite her issues, she’s stayed popular throughout, noting the song helped keep her “relevant” with its’ non-stop airplay internationally. (RadarOnline)

Details of the suit became public knowledge last week.

Lindsay Lohan has just sued the rapper Pitbull for a line in his mega-hit, “Give Me Everything,” for a disparaging lyric about her. Lindsay is pissed, claiming in her lawsuit … “the lyrics, by virtue of its wide appeal, condemnation, excoriation, disparaging or defamatory statements by the defendantsabout the plaintiff are destined to do irreparable harm to the plaintiff.” Lindsay, who claims in the lawsuit she is “a professional actor of good repute and standing in the Screen Actors Guild, is suing under the New York civil rights laws, which protects people from having their name exploited for commercial purposes. Lindsay alleges the appearance of her name in the song “causes [Lindsay] to be associated and identified in connection with defendants.” (TMZ)
