Atlanta rapper Lil Yachty is standing tall. The hip-hop newcomer has reacted to his Teenage Emotions first-week sales.
Yachty went to Instagram Monday (June 5) to speak out on his long-awaited studio release’s retail performance.
Lil Boat’s new studio release managed to debut on the Top 5 music releases chart.
The set, which was released through TrapSoul/RCA Records on May 26, earned 107,000 equivalent album units in the week ending June 1, according to Nielsen Music. Lil Yachty’s debut studio album, Teenage Emotions, arrives at No. 5 with 46,000 units (20,000 in traditional album sales; 24,000 in SEA and 2,000 in TEA). (Billboard)
Initial sales estimates had Bryson with the edge over Yachty’s Teenage Emotions.
Last week, Yachty acknowledged the early numbers for his long-awaited studio album.
