Atlanta rappers Lil Yachty and Offset are making sure those Black Panther box office numbers are insane. The duo teamed up this weekend to treat hundreds of kids to a screening for the Marvel Studios flick.

According to reports, the outing went down a few hours ago in California with 500 kids in attendance.

The rappers hit up Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre Saturday, where “This is Us” writer Jas Waters set up a fully-funded screening for 500 foster and at-risk children. She says Yachty and Offset surprised the kids … and also bought out the rest of the theater! Celebrities around the country have been helping thousands of disadvantaged and minority children see “Black Panther” for free per the challenge. As we reported … Serena Williams did it for a group of young black girls Thursday in San Fran. (TMZ)

Black Panther stars Lupita Nyong’o and Letitia Wright blessed fans with an epic superhero-themed freestyle.

Movie industry experts have already weighed-in on the expected impact Black Panther will have at the box office.

“Kudos to Disney,” John Fithian, CEO of the National Association of Theatre Owners, said of Marvel’s parent. “They lay down a $200 million bet that a minority cast can appeal to a majority of Americans.” NATO, which just reported theater admissions fell 6 percent last year, has long contended that diversity “outside the movie theatres must be recognized inside the theatres.” … “Diverse offerings appeal to different audiences, which combine and re-combine in many different ways,” Fithian told The Post. “We look forward to when films like ‘Black Panther’ are not an anomaly.” (New York Post)

A few days ago, reports claimed the must-see movie had already banked over $20 million from the international market.

The Marvel movie blasted off to a lordly $23.2 million overseas after opening in 17 locations, including the United Kingdom, South Korea, and France. Domestically, “Black Panther” will launch in previews on Thursday night before debuting across 4,020 locations. The film is expected to open to as much as $170 million — enthusiasm is rising on the strength of glowing reviews and the historic nature of the production. It is the first Marvel Cinematic Universe movie with a black protagonist. (Variety)
