Lil Xan x Sober

Lil Xan took to Twitter and Instagram to let fans know he had been two months sober. The change came after he suffered a series of seizures, which prompted him to stop taking prescription pills.

“A message to everyone…Stay Safe. Be Healthy. Never Give Up. Love You ❤️” -Lil Xan’s Twitter

High-Key Details

After innocent Black man George Floyd had his life taken from him by Minnesota cops, Xan took to social media to speak out against racism.

“Racism is evil. I fully support the protesters and every person out there fighting for justice. Black lives matter. It breaks my heart to see innocent people being killed and discriminated against because of the color of their skin. What happened to George Floyd, Brionna Taylor, Ahmed Arbery, Eric Garner, Sandra Bland, Trayvon and many more is evil and justice has not been served! Xanarchy wouldn’t even exist without the music and culture that black people created. Music has taken me across the globe and I’m lucky to have been able connect with heartbreak soldiers of every race. I love you all and I hope you are all staying safe and doing what you can to support this movement. Even though I will never experience what my brothers and sisters of color experience, I’m here for you and promise to use my platform to help raise awareness not just for now but for the future too. and I apologize for my delayed silence, I was hospitalized with a seizure 10 days ago. I plan to keep educating myself, donating and spreading awareness. If you’re looking for ways to support check out these awesome groups that are fighting for the cause. Wait, There’s More

Lil Xan is making another big change. Leaving his old self in the past, he’s decided to switch up his stage name to Diego, which is also his legal first name. He went online in May 2020 with a reflective post expressing his desire to become a new person.

“Baby I’m coming back better than ever ! 🔥 I’m officially changing my name to “DIEGO” rn, Leaving the old in the past 🔥 and I changed the picture because so many people got but hurt that I picked a lil uzi edit lol I’m restarting and reinventing myself !”

Before You Go

Xan had been feeling the pressures of coronavirus. Amid the stay-at-home lockdown orders he had been suffering from a great deal of anxiety but several weekends ago became overwhelming. According to reports, Lil Xan was hospitalized after having both hallucinations and a panic attack. Xan’s mom ultimately called an ambulance to come save her son’s life.

He was rushed to the hospital by ambulance Sunday while at his mom’s house in, of all places, Corona, CA. He’s been quarantining there with her, and she’s the one who called 9-1-1 after seeing Xan hallucinating so badly it was freaking her out. Xan says doctors told him he’d suffered a panic attack, but he doesn’t remember much of the episode. As for what might’ve triggered it … he says he feels it was caused by anxiety he’s been feeling while cooped up inside. He says he’s been in and out of hospitals over anxiety issues for years, but this is the first time it’s happened since the coronavirus pandemic hit … and it was the worst one. (TMZ)
