According to Young Money president Mack Maine, fans can anticipate the project to hit stores on November 5th.

Tha Carter IV plans we had and still have are to put Tha Carter IV out the day he comes out [of prison],” Mack said in an interview. “He had so many songs for Tha Carter IV, we said let’s just put these 10 songs out [on I Am Not a Human Being] and double-back for Tha Carter IV. He has more songs for Tha Carter IV that are still strong…It’s basically me, him, Baby and [manager] Cortez Bryant mapping it out. We had a listening session out here. It was me, Baby and Cortez. I let [Wayne] know these are the ones we picked. He already picked six of them from back there. I let him hear it over the phone. I book him a studio session — kinda like I did for the ‘Light Up’ up remix with Drake. I book him a studio session and let him listen [to tracks] over the phone. ‘Do you like this one?’ ‘Yeah?'” (MTV)

Tha Bizness’ Dow Jones recently talked about helping produce Carter IV.

Carter IV‘s gonna change your life,” Dow Jones said in an interview. “Wayne is gonna change your life. That’s all I’m gonna tell you. Be ready for that. It’s something you’ve never seen before. It’s incredible. When we finally heard a couple of the joints he did, we were just like, ‘Man.’ We thought Carter III was incredible and he took it a couple of steps up. One thing about Wayne, he’s a workaholic. There’s very few people we’ve been in the studio with that work harder than him aside from T-Pain, Wayne’s probably there…Carter IV was before he went to jail — as soon as he gets out, it’s time to cook it back up. He’s got so many records. He’ll do maybe an album’s worth of stuff in a day. You’ll never know how much Wayne’s gonna do.” (Rap-Up)

Producer Street Runner recently said Wayne’s Carter IV would have a soulful vibe.

“I did a really dope joint for the ladies with a soulful sample track that has a feature on the hook,” he revealed in an interview. “I don’t want to go into to many details about the record cause some internet monster might find it and try to leak it. I got another record that my dude wrote the hook on that almost feels like a Jay-Z “What More Can I Say” type track. I think I got 1 other record that’s pending along with those two so I just gotta see what’s up. I will say Weezy is spitting that sh*t over my tracks and they are 100% Hip Hop…I heard a few joints… It’s definitely what the fans want. He’s just rapping and going hard on it. I think I heard maybe one rocked out track but the majority was rap/Hip Hop tracks. It should be another classic.” (Lil Wayne HQ)

Prior to beginning a one-year jail sentence on a gun conviction last March, Wayne opened up about his Carter III follow-up.

“Yeah, Tha Carter IV, interesting,” Wayne told radio host Tim Westwood with a smile. “Very interesting. It’s interesting, I hope so, I hope it’s incredible and all those things. But like I said, I think they know the velocity of Carter IV without me even having to speak on it. I think they know what that’s gonna be. It should be [a defining moment]. It should be. Honestly, it should be.” (Tim Westwood TV)
