Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne has good news and bad news. Things are good for Wayne because he’s out of the hospital but bad because he’s going to stay grounded for the next two weeks as a health precaution.
According to reports, doctor’s orders are sidelining Wayne from going into full-fledged work mode.
Sources close to the rapper tell TMZ … the seizures that forced him into the hospital Sunday were due to a super busy schedule mixed with the fact he was getting NO sleep. We’re told the attack had nothing to do with him frequently sipping lean. Our sources say Wayne’s been advised to avoid overdoing it on tour, and he’ll be taking 2 weeks off for some much needed R&R … his next show is September 23 and we’re told he’ll be there. (TMZ)
This past holiday weekend, footage surfaced of Wayne performing prior to his hospitalization.
Weezy had a show Friday night in St. Petersburg, Florida and another one Saturday just outside Chicago in Hammond, Indiana. We spoke with people who were backstage at each show, and they all said the same thing … Weezy seemed healthy and arrived on time for both gigs. (TMZ)

Early Monday, reports surfaced about Wayne suffering a weekend seizure.
Lil Wayne was hospitalized yet again this weekend for his ongoing bout with epilepsy and the seizures that come with it, TMZ has learned, and this time it might have torpedoed Sunday night’s Vegas gig. Multiple sources tell us Wayne was hospitalized Sunday in Chicago after he was found unconscious in his hotel room at the Westin on Michigan Avenue after suffering at least one seizure. (TMZ)
