According to Bryant, the image is merely for getting fans excited about its upcoming release.

“The Image that was posted yesterday is NOT the #carterV album cover! It’s just to let the @LilTunechi fans know that CarterV Season is here!,” Bryant wrote April 29. (Cortez Bryant’s Twitter)

The Black Mamba jumped onto his Twitter page last night (April 28) and revealed what appeared to be Carter V artwork.

“Carter V season begins #carterV pic.twitter.com/hYz4Eq4022,” Kobe tweeted with an accompanying photo April 28. (Kobe Bryant’s Twitter)

After some initial confusion and speculation, Weezy F. Baby added fuel to the excitement.

“Believe me. pic.twitter.com/TlN1sU792C,” Wayne wrote with the same image Kobe put up. (Lil Wayne’s Twitter)

Recently, Wayne talked about his upcoming Tha Carter V album and how much money he needed to make another LP.

“25 to 35 million would get me to do another solo album after this,” Weezy told MTV News after taking a deep breath and a second to think out his answer. “I didn’t smile when I said it,” he pointed out to us in an effort to show just how serious he really is. “I personally plan on this being my final solo album, yes and it’s definitely the final Carter album. It’s the final Carter album. It’s stopping at five.” (MTV)
