Although Lil Wayne fans have received constant delays for his Tha Carter IV solo album, Weezy's manager has promised the project's latest release date is its last.

According to Cortez Bryant, the album is in its final stages.

After many push backs, Bryant tells Billboard there will be no more, “August 29, it’s not changing.” “He put the mixtape and the album in my hand the same day. He turned it in [to me] yesterday,” Bryant tells Billboard. “It’s done for the most part, [around] thirty songs [that] I need to carve down to twelve to sixteen, with four or so bonus tracks.” So much for those unofficial track listings floating around, aye? Bryant confirmed Nas, Jadakiss and Tech N9ne will appear on “Tha Carter IV.” (Billboard)

Wayne recently said he needed better production efforts for his upcoming LP.

“These n*ggas’ beats been sucking,” Wayne explained in an interview. “I’m putting it out there: You producing? What y’all doing? Get right, man. Step it up. This is coming from a rapper. One of the best rappers. I ain’t saying I’m the best no more, because these n*ggas is too good these days. I got old. But d*mn, y’all n*ggas’ beats is terrible! [Chad Ochocinco walks into the room] These n*ggas’ beats sound like Ochocino made them.” (XXL Magazine)

Young Money’s Gudda Gudda recently spoke to SOHH about the LP living up to 2008’s Tha Carter III.

“I think it’s going to be big and I’m not just saying that because he’s my homie,” Gudda Gudda told SOHH when asked about the delayed project. “I’m just being honest. I think it’s going to be big and it can match up to what Tha Carter III did. The expectations are really big and it’s going to be really big for hip-hop when it finally comes out.” (SOHH)

As of now, the project is headed to retail outlets next month.

Looks like “John” featuring Rozay wasn’t picking up the steam it needed. The good folks over at Universal just let loose a new release date for Dwayne’s highly anticipated Carter IV which is now August 29th and not June 21st. However, with his recently released left field single “How To Love”, I’m sure the Young Money leader will have plenty of leg room to work that as well as a visual for the effort. Hell, The Martian might be able to let go of another offering as well. (You Heard That New)

Tha Carter IV is currently set to hit store shelves Monday, August 29th.
