Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne's highly-anticipated Tha Carter IV will reportedly have its songs trashed and replaced by new material following the Young Money leader's release from jail this November.

According to Weezy’s manager Cortez Bryant, the rapper’s work ethic will force him back into the studio for post-jail records.

What’s more, many of the tracks on Human Being, which Wayne cut before going to jail, were “approved” to be included on his hugely anticipated Tha Carter IV but will be released now so that Wayne can fill IV with new music instead. “I know once he got out [of jail] those songs would be so old to him,” Bryant explains. Bryant says the notoriously workaholic Wayne will immediately hit the studio once he gets released and that he will most likely release another mixtape of material before turning his attention to Tha Carter IV, which Bryant now estimates won’t hit stores until next year. “He’s going to probably start from scratch,” says Bryant. “I know how he records–he’s in the studio every single day. That’s his life.” (SPIN)

Prior to Cortez’s remarks, Young Money president Mack Maine said Carter IV would likely drop on the day Wayne is released from Rikers Island.

Tha Carter IV plans we had and still have are to put Tha Carter IV out the day he comes out [of prison],” Mack said in an interview. “He had so many songs for Tha Carter IV, we said let’s just put these 10 songs out [on I Am Not a Human Being] and double-back for Tha Carter IV. He has more songs for Tha Carter IV that are still strong…It’s basically me, him, Baby and [manager] Cortez Bryant mapping it out. We had a listening session out here. It was me, Baby and Cortez. I let [Wayne] know these are the ones we picked. He already picked six of them from back there. I let him hear it over the phone. I book him a studio session — kinda like I did for the ‘Light Up’ up remix with Drake. I book him a studio session and let him listen [to tracks] over the phone. ‘Do you like this one?’ ‘Yeah?'” (MTV)

Earlier this month, Tha BiznessHenny talked with SOHH about submitting tracks for Carter IV.

“We ended up giving him another CD and on that CD, he recorded to like, 14 of the 18 joints that were on there. So, hopefully some of them go on Tha Carter IV and some of them like the “Getter” joint he did for Michael Phelps, but you never know. He stays working and we stay working. It might be more once he gets out or, you never know, there should be a couple on there.” (SOHH Guest Star)

Wayne’s videographer DJ Scoob Doo recently said the project would be accompanied with multiple visuals.

“I got videos for the Carter IV and the I’m not a Human Being EP all ready. I can’t say the name of the song but Wayne was singing on the hook, but they’re getting Drake to re-do it and it’s off the Human Being EP,” Scoob says. “Carter IV is probably the best album I’ve heard in the last decade, but Wayne is such a different artist now that wants to record new music when he comes home. The stuff he’s talking about now is just on another level. That’s why a lot of the songs on the EP were originally taken from the Carter IV.” (VIBE)

Lil Wayne is currently scheduled to be released from Rikers Island on November 4th, after serving time for a gun conviction.
