Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne has reportedly dropped his $51 million lawsuit against mentor Baby‘s Cash Money Records empire.

According to reports, the lawsuit has vanished into thin air despite Wayne’s publicized issues with the label.

theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, Lil Wayne has dropped his $51 million dollar lawsuit against Birdman’s Cash Money Records, without his mentor ever responding to his allegations of being screwed out of tens of millions for his yet to be released album “Tha Carter V”. (the Jasmine BRAND)

A clip of Wayne updating fans on his music projects and taking a jab at Cash Money surfaced online a few days ago.

“I’m about to turn y’all up in a second. You already know what it is. Free Weezy Album coming soon, Carter 5 coming soon. F*ck Cash Money!” (The Shade Room Inc)

Wayne’s long-awaited Free Weezy Album project is expected to come out this month.

During a performance at the Red Bull Guest House this past Saturday (Mar. 28), Tunechi announced that the free project will be dropping in April, but didn’t reveal a set date. (AHH)

According to reports, Wayne performed in Florida last month and had his crew pass out “Free Weezy Album” shirts to concertgoers.

Last night during Miami Music Week, Lil Wayne’s team handed out T-shirts for his upcoming Free Weezy Album. The black and white “FWA” shirts were designed by Weezy’s clothing line Trukfit in collaboration with Red Bull Guest House where Wayne performed. The rapper announced last month that he would be releasing the new tracks for free very soon. (Complex)

  1. this was a stunt that was known to be a stunt which made it go on in a attempt to make it look real….

      • good question fare point……do you remember how every carter album as of late has had several push back dates…well how come that does not happen with any other album ..the push back creates mumbles about the album and makes it seem like the artist care about fans while the exec worry’s about sales ..cant say money cause again every other album made it even rebirth…if you only operate by what you can prove its impossible to ever find truth some times you have to go with how it looks and your gut can i show a document that shows their plan line for line no….but that dont mean its not out there….the bible never spoke of dinosaurs but yet we have fossils so again sometimes you have to connect the dots and not willingly be a puppet to the media….why not before why not behind close doors dont let lack of proof keep you from asking the question- if its real why not keep it behind close doors…have you ever heard of a gag order bro….

Sidenote : they talk about this more than they talk about the album….if i am wrong no problem being wrong will not kill me but this rap game is a living soap opera nothings really by chance rappers call paper on them self these days

        • i agree about the possible stunt. but that went out the window with the personal jabs Wayne was throwing out there, and Baby standing by while young thug names his mixtape Carter 6. some things you just cant come back from, if so theres not much left to believe out there about these rap guys LOL

          • I see your points but I disagree. Birdbrain is doing the same thing when he replaced Juvie with Wayne. Black ball him (nh) then give the new artist the old one’s album title as a smack in the face. Remember 500 degrees?

          • ok i can get with that its not to far fetch to be possible at all good observation!!! but wayne cooled off is still at least two times bigger/better/ easier to sell than juvie….but you might be on to something and its scary like once you typed it i felt a cold chill LOL!!!!!

  2. Lil Wayne’s lawsuit against Cash Money has not been dropped, according to Karen Civil.

“Lil Wayne lawsuit has NOT been dropped just moved to New Orleans,” she wrote on Twitter today (April 7).

    You guys are SLOW!

  3. its not rocket science dog,,baby don’t write or produce but he is “stunner”,,why?,,cuz like most (black) record execs(suge, masterp, diddy, gordy) he was keeping most of the cheese,,if sales were a problem wayne could just “put drake on every hook” haha

  4. Wayne is broke, essentially. He has a high income, but insurmountable debts. He needs the money, and therefore will have to push on with the suit. Unfortunately for diminutive Weezy, however, Birdman is in the same situation.
Reappers are doomed financially because of the love of flashing and dealing in stacks of cash. Guest spots, live shows, appearances, and strip clubs are all cash worlds. The IRS is monitoring their lyrics, social media accounts and tabloid coverage to come up with estimates of their incomes and then hitting them with humongous tax bills.
Most don’t understand that the US gubmint really is going to try to raise the impossible sums they owe the chosen bankers by taxing “the rich.” And by “the rich,” what they mean are people who earn their high income honestly-successful local businessmen, doctors, lawyers, entertainers, athletes, and the like.
In the end, most rappers are going to be wiped out via tax and child-support. Most will go out like Joe Louis, and that is NO LIE. Wayne will have to pursue this lawsuit, and other avenues, before it is all over and he falls into gilded destitution.
