Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne has reportedly linked with Jay Z‘s Tidal music streaming service for his upcoming Lil Weezyana Fest concert.

According to reports, Weezy’s highly-anticipated event will be live streamed through the premium service.

“I’ve connected with my fans in such a cool way with the help of Tidal, and with this Tidal X I can’t wait to bring them another experience,” states Lil Wayne. “Lil Weezyana Fest is so special to me and I’m excited to share it with fans in New Orleans and online.” (AHH)

Hot Boys’ Turk spoke to SOHH this week about how the reunion concert came together.

“That’s official. It’s time for it. We’ve all been working and it was in the works, it was just about finding the time that we were going to do it. [Lil] Wayne decided to do it for the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and gave everybody a call – me, Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, B.G., he’s locked up, but of course we were ready to do it because it was time for it.” (SOHH)

Turk also told us what song he most wants to perform alongside Weezy.

“And plus this is what the fans have been waiting for, this Hot Boys reunion. The one song I’m really excited to perform is “I Need A Hot Girl,” when me and Weezy perform that, that’s the number one song right there, from the fans standpoint. Every time them verses come on in the club or I’m performing, ten years later, they still like that verse. It’s classic. To see me and Wayne perform that, push each other like we used to when we were young, I think it’s going to be a real epic moment.” (SOHH)

Young Money manager Cortez Bryant announced Wayne’s August 28 show last night (July 7).

The announcement came days after Wayne released his Free Weezy Album project on streaming service Tidal.

I won’t let u down as a fan,” Weezy tweeted in April. “Dis sh!t is a beast! Ok let me get bak 2da booth.” (Rolling Stone)
