Young Money‘s Lil Wayne is pushing through despite a nasty dispute with Cash Money head Birdman. The rap veteran has announced a new project called Funeral is underway.
In a new interview, Wayne broke the news about fresh music coming together.
“Just make sure they know that Funeral is coming soon. [What is it?] That’s my music. I don’t have a release date but I have a whole bunch of good news coming soon. If you are a Wayne fan, I know we been going through a lot of tough times right now, but if you’re a Wayne fan, we about to hold our heads high.” (“The Nine Club”)
Recently, Wayne sparked Jay Z rumors after shouting out his Roc-A-Fella Records brand during a live concert.
At this point, Wayne is saying fuck Cash Money for life. This Roc-A-Fella shout-out was random tho: pic.twitter.com/DiJoo7zJWC

In October, rap star Drake revealed his interest in hearing Wayne’s delayed Tha Carter V album amid his Cash Money feud.
Last month, Wayne likened his YMCMB woes to the Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh.
“It’s interesting. It’s interesting. It’s a perfect example of, that you aren’t bigger than the game. It’s a perfect example of that. You’re not bigger than the team and once you’re off the team, it’s not, we don’t care. Once you’re off the team, we don’t care. We’re still a team and we have to conduct ourselves as such, and we have to make the most for us. Reason being, I’m going through the same situation myself. So I know how it is. Everything I’ve done for them, they wouldn’t be them without me and, but I’m off the team so it’s, ‘screw him as long as we can, make sure we gonna screw him as much as we can, and when we can’t no more we’ll see what happens. That’s what it looks like they’re doing to Bosh” (“His & Hers”)
