While Weezy F. Baby is excited to have the game in his New Orleans hometown, he admitted there is little interest in who walks away empty-handed this year.

“I’m excited for it to be in New Orleans, for the city, period,” he told MTV News on the set of his upcoming “B—— Love Me” video. “Just for the city to get that kind of respect and that recognition, after such a tragedy [like Hurricane Katrina].” Still, come Super Sunday, either the Baltimore Ravens or the San Francisco 49ers will be hosting the Lombardi Trophy. So who’s Wayne’s pick to win it all? Well, since his beloved Packers aren’t playing, it turns out he doesn’t really have one. He’s just going to be watching like the rest of us. “I’m going to just chill with family, enjoy the game like everybody else,” he said. “My team’s not in it, so I aint trippin’.” (MTV)

Earlier this month, mega producer Dr. Dre said he hoped Baltimore Ravens veteran Ray Lewis got one last Super Bowl win under his belt.

He’s from California (Compton to be exact) … but Dr. Dre tells TMZ he’s not backing his home state team in the Super Bowl … ’cause he’s a HUGE Ray Lewis fan. Dre was leaving Boa in Hollywood last night when he told us he’ll be supporting the Baltimore Ravens on Feb. 3 when they take on the San Francisco 49ers. “I’m excited for Ray Lewis,” Dre said … “He’s a good guy and I’m a fan of his … I’m wishing the best for him.” (TMZ)

A few weeks ago, Dre’s former N.W.A. group member Ice Cube hit up SOHH and said he is also pulling for Lewis’ Ravens.

“I’m going for Ray Lewis. Ray Lewls, that’s who I’m pulling for,” Cube told SOHH. “I’m pulling for him and the Baltimore Ravens. I hope they do it. I’d love to see him go out on top. You know he’s going out on top, if you ask me, but I would love to at least see him play in the Super Bowl. I don’t mind either San Fran or Seattle getting [to the Super Bowl]. Seattle’s a big a** team. They ain’t no little boys. [Seahawks quarterback] Russell Wilson is an athlete. He ain’t just no quarterback. He’s one of those football players. He’s an athlete. You can’t sleep on no dude like that because he ain’t gonna quit.” (SOHH)

Back in winter 2011, Wayne revealed his favorite sports teams.

“Since this is the first show, I’ll let you know from this show on, you will be able to post questions to our Facebook page or to our site or whatever,” Weezy added. “You’ll be able to post questions up. I’ll get to those questions in some kind of way — I have my teams. I’m not sure if you can tell, but I’m a Green Bay Packers fan, I’m an LA Lakers fan, I’m a Boston Red Sox fan, I’m a Washington Capitals fan.” (“Weezy’s Sports Corner”)
