After Lil Wayne & French Montana, Trina Reveals Why She’s Done Dating Rappers [Video]

Miami rap veteran Trina is looking for a love rappers just can’t provide. The hip-hop artist recently talked about falling back on dating rappers.

In a new interview, Trina said she wanted something more serious than what a fellow rapper brings to the table.

“We not shooting no jumpers over here with no rappers,” Trina revealed in an interview. “They don’t have no chance. Absolutely not. [Done with rappers?] Yeah, I think so. You just grow and it’s the same old thing, kinda sorta. I’m past that phase. I’m looking for something that’s more solid, not just the face. Solid is somebody that’s over the BS – everybody want to party, go to clubs, you want to do that same old thing.” (TMZ)

A few years ago, Trina discussed rumors about dating hip-hop star French Montana.

“We really was not in a relationship. Let’s be clear about that. I never told him that I was your girl. There’s a lot of reasons. I guess now we can see why. Because you just got a lot of growing up to do. I could come up here and expose you and bash you, but I’m so much better than that. I’m not gonna do that. But I will say this, we were friends. And as being friends today as we speak makes two years I would have known you.” (“The Breakfast Club”)

Trina also noted how much of a role she played in expanding French’s brand.

“The friend that when you came to Miami you never slept in a hotel cause you stayed at my house every single time. The friend that I have the keys to your house still right now today. That kind of friend. The friend that everything you post on your Instagram, your whole house, how it looks, I did that. The friend that sends and imports stuff, furniture, all kinds of stuff from Miami to New York. I did that. That kind of friend. Previously, Montana said he never labeled Trina his girlfriend despite multiple public outings.

“You know, like every relationship, you break up, you make up. Right now we’re on real good terms. We’re in a real special zone right now. She’s gonna be my baby forever,” Montana explained in an interview. “Honestly, I was never a couple with Trina.
