Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne isn’t giving Baby any breaks. The hip-hop veteran has reportedly sought out legal action against his estranged boss.

According to a The Blast report, Weezy F. Baby has accused Birdman of not handing over key documents including his artists Nicki Minaj and Drake’s contracts.

Lil Wayne has gone back to court accusing Birdman of refusing to turn over documents relating to Nicki Minaj and Drake, and now he is demanding the judge sanction the Cash Money head. On February 21, Wayne filed a motion to compel production of documents in his years-long $50 million-dollar lawsuit against Birdman’s Cash Money Records. Recently, Birdman promised to soon deliver Lil Wayne’s long-delayed Tha Carter V album.

“He is the best ever to me,” he said. “A lot of success comes from under his umbrella. I think it’s gonna be the biggest album of 2018, one of them. Without a doubt. It’s gonna be well worth the wait.” (Rap-Up)

In August 2017, Lil Wayne explained why he would not put out Tha Carter V in a rushed effort to satisfy fans.

“Of course you’re going to see Tha Carter V. I just don’t want to put it out the wrong way. Honestly, I can do what I want at any time. The fans deserve it to be right and that’s how it’s gonna be. I’ma make sure it’s right. I can drop whatever I want to drop. That’s why I keep dropping whatever I want to drop. But, I’m not going to give Carter V the wrong way.” (Q93)

Last year, Baby provided fans with a Carter V update.

Birdman echoed the same message he offered on Travis Scott’s Beats 1 show in January when asked for The Carter V’s release date. “You will get it this year,” he said. “Me and Wayne will be aight. I’ma make that work. That’s my son and I love him, and we’ll make it happen.” (Billboard)
