Cash Money boss Birdman and Lil Wayne might have to finally cave in for that uncomfortable conversation they’ve been avoiding these past couple of years. The estranged business partners are reportedly set to be near each other this NBA All-Star Weekend.

According to reports, Baby and Weezy will both be just minutes away from each other hosting separate events.

Weezy and Birdman will be in NOLA — where it’s also NBA All-Star Weekend — to celebrate Cash Money’s 20th anniversary. Lil Wayne will be at Masquerade Nightclub, while Birdman’s hitting up several venues that are mere blocks away … including the House of Blues. Our Cash Money sources say they’ll both be showing love for their label, but Wayne’s done way too much trash-talking to share a stage with Birdman. (TMZ)

Recently, Young Money president Mack Maine updated fans on a slew of upcoming Wayne albums including his delayed Tha Carter V.

“We wanna get that Carter V out,” Mack began to tell of his company’s plans. “Wayne also has a dope project called Velvet. We want to get that out. … We also have L.A.T. which is Wayne, Gutta and HoodyBaby. They going bananas. Demeo dropping his mixtape top of the year, Kingpin… We got some sh*t in the chamber for y’all man. We gonna be all over your radio, all over your TV screen. If you got any problems with us, you not gonna be able to avoid us.” (REVOLT TV)

A few days prior, Birdman revealed the fate of Wayne’s delayed project.

“Tha Carter V’s coming out. It’s definitely coming out. The situation with me and my son, I’m going to put it all that behind us and just let it move forward. Wayne is one of the best artists ever to do the game, and I want to see him finish [and] continue to do what he been doing, and I’m going to support whatever he’s doing, but you definitely going to get that C5.” (Beats 1)

Earlier the same week, Wayne hinted at multiple releases likely coming out in 2017.
