Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne has released a public service announcement to address his decision to delay the long-awaited Tha Carter V album.

Along with apologizing for the delay, Wayne revealed when his album would arrive.

“I know the album was supposed to drop today, Tha Carter V album, v’s up, but we had to push the album back due to a problem,” Wayne said in the video clip. “I’ve just been skating too god d*mn much. I’ve been skating too much and I forgot about the motherf*cking Carter. All I do is skate every motherf*cking day – honestly, I’ve been working hard every motherf*cking day on this album and this album means everything to me and I know the real fans, it means a whole lot to them too. So I kinda refuse to cheat them and give them anything and anything rushed.” (Carter 5 PSA)
