Philadelphia rap newcomer Lil Uzi Vert‘s so ready for his long-awaited debut album to drop he can almost taste it. The hip-hop rookie has stressed his excitement in getting a studio project out to the masses.
Uzi Vert went to Instagram this week to shout-out longtime mentor Don Cannon and urge him to put some focus onto his new LP.
Back in April, Don Cannon served up an update on Lil Uzi’s upcoming release.
“If you didn’t hear, LUV Is Rage is not dropping no time soon. It’s not going to be a long time from now, but not within this month. We still working on the album. It’s a process. You got to make the album, mix the album, master the album. Put it out. That takes time when you’re perfecting it. You know, we’re trying to get the sounds. For the producers and rappers out there, we don’t just make beats.”

Recently, Uzi Vert sparked social media’s attention after going on a mini-Twitter rant about his album delay.
Some media speculation has already assumed a potential Uzi suspect.
It didn’t take long before Twitter followers started to guess the “old person” he was referring to is DJ Drama, whom LUV is signed to via the label Generation Now. The “You Was Right” rapper has since deleted the tweets. Then again, the assumptions about Dram could be wrong. (XXL Mag)
