Philadelphia rapper Lil Uzi Vert is a free man again. The hip-hop newcomer is reportedly free after getting busted last week following a police chase in Georgia.

Uzi’s pal Young Thug broke the news last night (December 14) on Instagram.

Recent reports claimed Uzi Vert found himself in handcuffs following a police chase.

Cops say the duo raced the wrong way down a one-way, drove on a sidewalk and crossed 5 lanes of traffic without signaling. Cops say the rapper was trying to speed away from officers, but lost his balance and had to ditch the bike. He and his friend tried to flee on foot, but were quickly nabbed. Uzi was booked for obstruction, reckless driving, not having a driver’s license and a slew of other traffic violations. He got out Friday after posting $6,500 bond. (TMZ)

Recently, Uzi revealed he had started clocking in studio time with Kanye West.

“I’ve been working with Kanye. Yeah. He drops gems on you without even letting you know. Like, he’s just talking and he’s dropping gems. He’s very intelligent – I’m not gonna say I switched my style as of right now but you know, of course Kanye helped my style in general. You feel me? He already helped my style from the rip, from the beginning.” (Whoolywood Shuffle)

Recently, Uzi announced plans to put out a Luv Is Rage 2 project.
