Rap newcomer Lil Uzi Vert is iced out in 2018. The hip-hop star reportedly dropped around $350,000 recently for the jewelry he donned at last Sunday’s Grammy Awards ceremony.
According to reports, Uzi put his trust in celebrity jeweler Elliot Avianne months ago to make the masterpiece come together in time for the awards show.
The rapper — who was nominated for Best New Artist, but lost to Alessia Cara — went to the Grammys donning a custom 60-carat upside-down cross wrapped in a gold and diamond vine … hanging from an 80-carat diamond chain. (TMZ)
A few days ago, Uzi dished on recently shopping with G.O.O.D. Music head Kanye West.
“He’s never thinking about himself,” Uzi said when asked what his recent experience with Kanye West was like. “It’s weird. I thought he was gonna be grabbing. He was grabbing everything for his family. He said, ‘I don’t even get dressed no more I swag out my family.’ At that moment I realized, I gotta swag out my whole family. I really didn’t want him to [pick clothes for me] so I was running away. I was running to the other side so I could get my own drip. Look what I got.” (MTV News)
