Philadelphia rapper Lil Uzi Vert is riding for everyone’s favorite Dreamchaser. The hip-hop star has hit up social media to flex support for jailed rap heavyweight Meek Mill.

Footage has surfaced of Uzi performing in Philly last night (December 22) and bringing Meek’s son onto the stage.

Meek Mill is physically away from the music scene while serving two to four years in state prison after being found guilty of violating probation. But Friday night brought proof Meek’s presence still looms large, as fellow Philadelphian Lil Uzi Vert included Meek’s son “Papi” as one of the many guests performing during “A Very Uzi Xmas.” “Papi” both sang along and held his mic toward the audience encouraging crowd participation as he joined Uzi for “Dreams & Nightmares (Intro).” (Complex)

Meek’s ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj even pulled through for Uzi’s performance.

Recently, Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin shared his belief in Meek likely getting released sooner than later.

“This is a great example of how broken the criminal justice system is,” he says. “He’s been on probation his entire adult life… he will have been on probation for 16 years. I couldn’t be on probation for 6 years. If you’re 5 minutes late for a meeting with your probation officer they can put you in jail. I feel confident he’s going to be home soon and this is a great injustice that’s going to be fixed.” (Billboard)

Earlier this month, Meek hit up Instagram to salute his Philadelphia Eagles and remember late MMG manager Black Bo.
