Lil Uzi Vert’s “Pink Tape” Release Party

Lil Uzi Vert recently hosted an electrifying release party for their highly anticipated album, Pink Tape. The event occurred following a public dispute between Uzi and their girlfriend, City Girl rapper JT. Still, the couple put any rumors to rest as they danced together, exuding excitement for the album’s imminent release.

Amidst the anticipation building on social media, the “Just Wanna Rock” artist announced that Pink Tape would be dropping on Friday, June 30. 

Fans took to various platforms, expressing their enthusiasm and sharing their eagerness for the long-awaited album. One fan on Twitter exclaimed, “It’s time, three years in the making! Let’s make the world pink again!”

Lil Uzi Vert Promises “Pink Tape” Album Release At Roots Picnic Festival

Headlining the stellar lineup of The Roots Picnic Festival on June 3 and 4th, Philly’s own Lil Uzi Vert excited fans by promising the upcoming release of their highly anticipated studio album, “Pink Tape.” The announcement comes after Lil Uzi Vert had previously hinted at the album’s release within two months back in March.

Initially, the album was anticipated to drop in May, but according to Lil Uzi Vert, fans can now expect it to be released this month.  Uzi, who goes by the pronouns they/their/them, sported their signature purple-dyed hair, reminiscent of their iconic look from their breakthrough in 2016.

The Philadelphia rapper has faced controversy in relation to the album, particularly regarding lyrics that reference the devil.  Fans have also been frustrated by continual delays on the project. Despite this, fans are hopefully anticipating the release and have taken to online platforms to speculate on the album’s drop date, with many believing it will occur on June 23rd to coincide with National Pink Day.

Lil Uzi Vert Hints At Release Of “Pink Tape” & Addresses Satan Reference Controversy In “City Girl” Song

Lil Uzi Vert could be dropping his next project soon. The new release would also include the song, “City Girl.” Vert also addressed the controversial line in the song that references Satan.

Recently, the “Xo Tour Llif3” artist said his upcoming project Pink Tape is set to drop within two months, giving the indication it could be released in May.

The Philadelphia native also clarified the controversy surrounding the song “City Girl” particularly the line “Make a city a girl believe in satan,” referring to his love for City Girls‘ member JT.

“Not actually satan,” Vert clarified. “But just basically I make a girl do whatever I say, so.”

The lyric sparked controversies namely from Summer Walker on Instagram.

“I’m genuinely curious, have these people ever seen or heard of a demon before,” Walker asked.

The “Just Wanna Rock” artist also previewed the song at a recent appearance at Rolling Loud California recently.

Uzi had previously released the Red and White Before The Pink EP in 2022.
