According to reports, Scrapp turned himself in Thursday (May 30) night and is now subjected to intense restrictions.

Lil Scrappy is desperate to kick his lil marijuana-loving ways, and to avoid jail — the rapper officially checked into rehab for ganja addiction … TMZ has learned. Now, his lawyer tells TMZ … Scrappy voluntarily entered a rehab facility in the Atlanta area Thursday night and will remain there at least until his next hearing on June 16 — when he’s hoping the judge will show him leniency. We’re told the place is no walk in the park — 6:30AM wake-up, 10PM curfew, group therapy, one-on-one therapy, NO cell phone or laptop … and NO visitors for the first 2 weeks. (TMZ)

A few days ago, Scrappy acknowledged he would sacrifice time away from his family to get clean.

Atlanta rapper Lil’ Scrappy said Wednesday he is headed to rehab. The musician, whose real name is Darryl Richardson, has had several court appearances in recent months. A few weeks ago, he failed a court-ordered drug test. “It is my hope that my time away from my family and especially my little girl, my daughter, will make me a better man,” Richardson said. He said it’s time for him to get help for marijuana addiction. A judge has granted Richardson a continuance in his probation battle, giving him time to attend rehab. (WSBTV)

Last week, the Atlanta rapper showed up in court to address drug test results.

He appeared in court Wednesday morning where he responded a drug test he took last month that tested positive for weed. The entertainer was suited down, looking like an upstanding citizen. “Momma D,” his mother in real life and reality show “Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta” co-star, would have been pleased. Lil Scrappy, whose actual name is Darryl Kevin Richardson II, reportedly admitted to TMZ that he has an addiction to marijuana. The 29-year-old’s attorney, Mawuli Mel Davis, admits that his client is scheduled to enter a rehab facility in order to kick his ongoing drug habit. (News One)
