Florida rapper Lil Pump isn’t worried about Funk Flex co-signs or having to prove himself. The rap rookie has hit up social media to flex reaching 10 million Instagram followers and announce a new deal’s on the way.
Pump went to Instagram Tuesday (March 6) to salute fans for supporting his movement and also tease a big announcement’s going down soon.

Hours prior, music mogul Diddy delivered a heartfelt speech about not feeling the lack of originality currently in hip-hop.
“So many people rapping right now. I love it. It is literally too much. It’s a lot to take in everyday. Everybody saying the same sh*t in different ways. It’s just my opinion. I’m not knocking nobody’s dream. I just don’t want the culture to get diluted where it gets so mass produced it doesn’t mean anything. Artists have to be special. Every artist has to be unique. I’m just trying to say if you’re going to be in this game be great because you can also be a part of the noise. All you inspiring rappers out there and R&B artists and singers and dancers, keep doing your thing. Be special.”
Recent reports claimed Lil Pump officially joined forces with Atlanta rap veteran Gucci Mane.
A couple of days ago, reports suggested that Pump has signed with Gucci Mane’s newly established 1017 Eskimo Records after a video of the rapper wearing a “1017” surfaced on social media. Dooney Battle, co-founder of entertainment company Tha Lights Global who is largely responsible for Pump’s success, revealed the news through an Instagram story earlier today (Feb. 9). It’s a video of Lil Pump Facetiming with them and showing off his 1017 chain. “Signing Day, Lil Pump signing day,” Dooney and his friend can be seen shouting out. (Hip Hop N More)
