Florida rapper Lil Pump has some explaining to do. New reports claim cops busted the newly signed hip-hop artist this week on a gun charge.

According to reports, the bust went down Wednesday (February 14) night after Pump allegedly fired off his gun inside his crib.

According to law enforcement, Pump’s manager reported 3 men were jimmying the rapper’s front door, trying to get into his San Fernando Valley home around 4 PM, and the suspects fired a gun once through the door. The manager was not at the house, but was relaying info to cops after speaking to Pump. When police responded, they found a bullet hole in the front door. (TMZ)

Despite the manager’s claim of intruders firing the gun, law enforcement believes Pump is responsible for the shooting.

Cops say the trajectory of the bullet hole shows it came from inside the home. Police returned a few hours later with a search warrant … and found a handgun in the bushes below the balcony of Pump’s apartment. The weapon was unloaded, but cops found ammo for the gun in the apartment. Cops felt Pump, not an intruder, had fired the gun into the door, and arrested him for discharging a weapon in an inhabited place. There’s more potential trouble for Pump’s family — police found marijuana in the apartment, and his mother was not home. We’re told she’s under investigation for endangering a minor and having an unsecured gun at home. (TMZ)

Outside of the legal drama, LP recently made headlines for allegedly signing a deal with Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane.

A couple of days ago, reports suggested that Pump has signed with Gucci Mane’s newly established 1017 Eskimo Records after a video of the rapper wearing a “1017” surfaced on social media. Dooney Battle, co-founder of entertainment company Tha Lights Global who is largely responsible for Pump’s success, revealed the news through an Instagram story earlier today (Feb. 9). It’s a video of Lil Pump Facetiming with them and showing off his 1017 chain. “Signing Day, Lil Pump signing day,” Dooney and his friend can be seen shouting out. (Hip Hop N More)

Earlier this month, reports suggested the Pump bidding war had narrowed down to a few top streaming giants.

Inside sources say that the eight-figure contest for teen rapper Lil Pump is intensifying. These sources tell us that top contenders include UMG, Sony, Live Nation, Spotify and Apple, and that WMG is not in the pole position. The “Gucci Gang” breakout is repped by Tha Lights Global.
