R&B singer Lil Mo and music icon Prince are making headlines this weekend after getting into an Independence Day clash in New Orleans during the annual Essence Festival. #CatFight

Details of the nasty feud bubbled across the Internet early Sunday (July 6).

Getting harassed by police is never fun. So we can understand Lil Mo’s frustration when she was prevented by New Orleans police from using the bathroom while backstage at the Essence Festival. Despite having VIP passes, Mo was stopped and even “pushed in the stomach” because Prince was about to make his entrance on stage. Exasperated, Mo posted about the event on Instagram. (Complex)

Mo resorted to her Instagram page to provide information on the incident.

“yall have NO idea how these celebs be actin. and I’m not gonna eem bother they a**. i had to pee I’m real life. i was pushed in my stomach cuz somebody was coming through. i just want to sing and take care of MY family. fcuk all this EXTRA unnecessary sh*t dawg,” Mo captioned on Instagram July 5.
