New York rapper Lil Mama is saluting JAY-Z‘s born day. The hip-hop artist has hit up social media to put some respect on Young Hov’s name.

Mama went to Instagram Monday (December 4) with a pic of herself posing alongside JAY at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards ceremony.

Back in 2015, Lil Mama reflected on crashing the stage during JAY-Z and Alicia Keys‘ “Empire State of Mind” performance.

“I went through a tough time,” she says. “I did it to myself, because I’m the one who went up there. But them [Jay Z and Alicia Keys] not saying anything or even caring about the backlash…it taught me to be stronger and understand this is a business. That no one is here to protect you.
