New York rapper Lil’ Kim‘s ex-boyfriend Mr. Papers has stepped forward to pen a massive apology over their child custody battle this week.
Papers took to his Instagram page Wednesday (August 12) with his heartfelt post.
Recent reports claimed Kim addressed the situation on her social media pages.
According to Papers’ publicist Tasha Hilton, there is a misconception behind the legal dispute.
“He is literally just trying to see [Royal]. He’s been trying to do it very quietly.” Kim, 41, didn’t bother showing up for their July 9 hearing—and instead, filed her own suit accusing Papers of beating her up. But Papers insisted to Hilton that things never got physical during their relationship, and he believes the suit is a ploy to further prevent him from seeing the baby. “She’s playing really dirty now with the domestic situation,” Hilton said. “There has never been any domestic violence.” (Bossip)
Last fall, Kim talked about late hip-hop mentor Notorious B.I.G. watching over her daughter.
“I think he’s very proud. I think he’s super proud because he knows that I’m a nurturer by nature,” Kim, who gave birth to daughter Royal Reign on June 9, 2014. “He’s probably helping me right now because he knows, ‘This girl is gonna need some help from above.’ So, ‘Thank you babe for helping me. I’m going to be the best mom I can be.'” (Hip Hollywood)
