Brooklyn rapper Lil Kim has offered her take on past pleas by Lil Cease for them to place their differences to the side and reunite for a Junior M.A.F.I.A. album.
As of now, Kim cannot envision herself getting back with her old M.A.F.I.A. group member.
“At this point I would say never,” Kim declared. “Only God directs my life so I can’t say if I would ever speak to him in the future. But at this point, no. I have not seen a single change and then I’ve seen a bunch of talk and a bunch of contradictions, so no.” (RapFix)
Last May, Cease opened up about trying to spark a reunion with his old gang.
“We’re working on it,” Cease said in an interview. “That’s something I would definitely want to do. I tried it for a year. Especially for Kim — I reached out for years. Everybody else is kinda in sync: I speak to Roc, Nino, D, [Money] L, everybody else is still kinda connected. The only one I wasn’t connected [with] was Kim.” (MTV)
Junior M.A.F.I.A. is most known for being put together by the late Notorious B.I.G.
Junior Masters at Finding Intelligent Attitudes, or Junior M.A.F.I.A., were able to grab instant notoriety with two hit singles, “Get Money” and “Player’s Anthem,” thanks to their childhood crony and producer, the Notorious B.I.G. Their gold-certified debut album, Conspiracy (Undeas/Big Beat), was also released on Biggie’s Undeas label in 1995. Hailing from Bedford-Stuyvesant, NY, the group was comprised of four separate acts: the 6s (Little Caesar, Chico, and Nino Brown), the Snakes (cousins Larceny and Trife), MC Klepto, and 47 MC Little Kim. The crew broke-up following the 1997 passing of B.I.G.
The success of the group’s singles, “Player’s Anthem” (US #13) and “Get Money” (US #17) helped launch the career of Lil’ Kim as a solo artist. The group became defunct in 1997 following the death of The Notorious B.I.G. In 2005 and 2006, three of the original members released the album Riot Musik and two DVDs under the Junior M.A.F.I.A. name. (Wikipedia)
