Chicago rapper Lil Durk has stepped forward to speak out on his disappointment in close pal French Montana not promoting his new Lil Durk 2x album on Instagram.
In a new interview, Durk dished on his surprise at realizing Montana did not show any IG love.
“Nah, I never signed to nobody,” Durk responded when asked if he was signed to French Montana. “I don’t really know what’s going on with [the album being promoted]. It’s been a minute [since we last spoke]. I’m going to keep it 1,000, that’s my brother. I love him to death but I ain’t even going to lie, I don’t know what’s up with that. I’m just waiting on the post like, ‘Alright.’ I’m waiting on the Gucci [Mane] sh*t. I wait a couple days – he ain’t never post it. … That’s my brother, R.I.P. Chinx. I don’t know. I don’t know, he posted Gucci’s [new album]. I was waiting on the post. I ain’t going to b*tch about it. I don’t give a f*ck about a lot of sh*t – before I ain’t have to tell him nothing. … Shout-out French though.” (“The Breakfast Club”)

Last month, LD dished on what fans could expect from his new album rollout.
“I got more potential hits,” he tells Billboard. “More beat selection.” He also prides himself on tapping lesser-known producers and artists like Young Chop and Chopsquad DJ and balancing radio-friendly cuts with his Chi-town roots. Glossy names like Future, Yo Gotti and Ty Dolla $ign lend their talents to the project without overshadowing Durk. (Billboard)
In June, Durk and Dej released their “True or False” collaboration.
The two continue to exchange flirty verses on the Kharri production. “You say you’re gon’ do this and that when I’m alone with you,” Lil Loaf raps. “But when we link up, we get nervous, boy, what’s wrong with us?” Meanwhile, Durk raps about sending flowers and not getting texts back “for hours.” (Rap-Up)
