After being released ten days ago, Lil Baby’s It’s Only Me album hit #1 on the Billboard 200 hip-hop chart this week. This marks the third time the Atlanta rapper and hometown hero has achieved this in his career.
The album did so well he broke his own record from his last album, My Turn earning the biggest first-week sales debut of his career. Additionally, his most recent album had 216,000 sales, according to the New York Times.
One of the popular songs on the successful project features his close friend Young Thug, who is currently facing RICO charges.
In addition, the album got most of its popularity with 289 million clicks in the first week it was released.
On the other hand, Taylor Swift could break his streak when numbers are released next week. Her Midnight album, released on Oct. 21, scored 800,000 copies sold on its first night.
