Lil Baby was honored with the Quincy Jones Humanitarian Award for his racial and social justice work. During his speech, he declared that it takes everyone to come together to achieve the dream.
For his contributions to racial and social justice, Lil Baby was honored with the Quincy Jones Humanitarian Award at the Black Music Action Coalition’s second annual Music in Action Awards Gala.
During his acceptance speech, he said:
“I honestly didn’t know what a humanitarian was, but as I looked into it and started reading, I understand that I’m actually humanitarian. I just want to say that I appreciate everybody in here because nothing that we doing or trying to do can be done by one person. It’s gonna take all of us to stick together and stay together.”

For several years, Lil Baby has made massive waves in the rap game, making him one of the most popular male rappers. The Atlanta native has also scored a new title he can add to his name.
The “My Turn” rapper took to Instagram story to share Variety’s article about the announcement.
The Atlanta-born rapper will be honored for his contribution to racial and social justice outside of music.
Over the summer, he hosted his annual Back to School Fest at Atlanta’s West End Mall.
He provided games, carnival rides, food, backpacks, and more to over 3,000 children.
Additionally, Lil Baby established a $150,000 “My Turn” scholarship and teamed up with an Atlanta business owner to give 100 people jobs.
He also recently met up with Atlanta Democratic candidate Stacey Abrams to discuss a possible collaboration on the campaign.
Lil Baby To Drop New Album
Lil Baby is not slowing down.
The Atlanta rapper has gone on tour, met with politicians, and will drop his new album.
Lil Baby shared the album news on Instagram. The album cover is Mount Rushmore-themed with Lil Baby at different stages of his life.
The album, It’s Only Me, will drop on October 14.
