West Coast rapper Lil B may be for the people but he’s letting the world know there is no love for NBA superstar Kevin Durant with the release of his new “F*ck KD” music video.
Going with a basketball theme, Based God hits the court in the new must-see clip.
Lil B and Kevin Durant have been involved in a longstanding beef that has involved a basketball game challenge, a curse, and several tweets. However, the issue appeared to have faded away. Apparently not so. The Based God has released a new song earlier today called “F*ck KD,” which calls out Durant directly and explicitly. Lil B ends the song by challenging KD to a game of “21.” In the song’s catchy chorus, he makes sure to show respect to his superstar foe’s agents, saying, “I like Roc Nation and I love Jay Z/But on the West Side I’m screaming ‘f*ck KD!'” And of course, Lil B is in the gym in this video, showing off those adorable ball-handling and layup skills. Last November, the Based God questioned why KD had opted out of a basketball challenge.
“BEEN PRACTIING ON THE COURT WAITING FOR @KDTrey5 WAITING FOR THAT 1 ON 1 GAME, I NO THEY NOT BOUT THAT PLAY KEVIN NOT BOUT THAT PLAY – Lil B,” Lil B tweeted November 26.
“if u aint about that play never call that call @kdtrey5 IM BASKETBALL LIFE FOREAL KEVIN REMBER THAT IM GOING TO THE HOLE FOWARD – Lil B” (Lil B’s Twitter)
In summer 2012, he reportedly found himself involved in a small melee with Kevin Durant.
It started during the playoffs last year when KD called Lil’ B a “wack” rapper. You know how rappers love them a celebrity beef to up their profile, you had a feeling this was not going to die Now Lil B has a new video out called “Warm Ups” on which he calls out Durant. So Durant took to twitter and said “Yo shut up.” I like it. I think the “yo” really makes it. Durant stuck with that theme in his next tweet: “Yo leave me alone lol, if you wanna play me you gotta come to OKC I’m not coming to Oakland.” Actually, Durant will be in Oakland on Jan. 23 because Golden State’s Oracle Arena is in Oakland, but that’s nit picking. Besides, Lil B was all down with coming out to the OKC to play and tweeted: “”So book a ticket to OKC for this Monday? @KDTrey5 I WILL BE THERE FLIGHT IN THE MORNING, AND PREP.” (NBC Sports: Pro Basketball Talk)
