According to reports, Slim Shady’s new flavor is in celebration of his upcoming SHADYXV album.

Mikey Likes It Ice Cream, a parlor in New York City’s East Village, is hosting the release of the rapper’s new project, SHADYXV, and made a special flavor for the occasion. The treat is made with “Motor City ingredients,” like Michigan cherries, Sanders hot fudge and Vernors ginger ale, according to the shop’s Tumbr. Maybe Shady can offer Iggy Azalea a conciliatory scoop to make up for threatening her last week. (SPIN)

Recently, Em talked about how Detroit still gets overlooked in comparison to other big cities and regions.

“It feels like we’ve always been an underdog,” Em said in an interview. “Given that mentality, I think it inspired, and inspires people still to this day, to try to — rappers — to try to rap as well as they can.” (Shade 45)

Last week, collaborator Dej Loaf said Em’s pal Royce Da 5’9 reached out to her last summer about appearing on the track.

“He was like, ‘I got this record,’ and I wasn’t sure if they were gonna make it. He said it would be [a track] called Detroit vs. Everybody, but I didn’t know it was gonna be Eminem.” The song features Danny Brown, Big Sean, Royce da 5’9″ Trick Trick, and Dej. When we spoke, she hadn’t even heard the anthem yet. It’s still surreal to her. “What would you do,” she asks. “How would you feel?” (Metro Times)

The “Detroit vs. Everybody” record premiered online earlier this month.

Detroit stand up. Fresh off his SHADY CXVPHER, Eminem reps the Motor City on his new anthem “Detroit Vs. Everybody.” Marshall calls on fellow D-town natives Royce Da 5’9″, Big Sean, Danny Brown, DeJ Loaf, and Trick Trick for the Statik Selektah-produced track off the upcoming ShadyXV compilation.
