Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James has reacted to being name-dropped on rap heavyweight Kanye West‘s anti-Nike sportswear “Facts” song.
Despite being a Yeezy fan, King James could not co-sign him going after Nike.
“Obviously I’m going to side with Nike no matter who it is,” James said. “It’s just, it’s family when you talk about Nike, and I’m always on their side no matter what the situation is.” (Cleveland)
On “Facts,” Ye takes direct aim at Nike paying LeBron to be a spokesperson.
Yeezy in the house and we just got appraised/Nike, Nike treat employees just like slaves/Gave LeBron a billi’ not to run away (Yo!)/10 thousand dollar fur for Nori, I just copped it (Yo!)” (“Facts”)
Recently, Los Angeles Lakers star Nick Young reacted to NBA icon Michael Jordan‘s son, Marcus, responding to Ye’s “Facts.”
“There’s nothing you could really say about the issue. What [Kanye’s] been doing with shoes and clothes, 2015 was Kanye’s year. I understand [Marcus] defending his pops but I think we won this year. Adidas won this year.” (Billboard)
Marcus Jordan laughed up Yeezy’s jabs toward his dad’s parent company, Nike, on Twitter Saturday (January 2).
"Yeezy just jumped over @Jumpman23 ??"🤔😂😭😫😲 LOL I needed a good laugh to start my #2016
